REVIEW (from Kimota #9) Jaro Fath seeks the answer to the puzzle of his past, avenges the murder of his parents, makes his fortune, finds true love and goes forth to seek further adventures. And that’s it, the guilty have been punished, the wronged have been avenged and I have committed the unforgivable sin when book reviewing, I have given away the plot. Except, of course, this is a Vance novel and the backdrop of the Gaean Reach, the rich diversity of human and alien cultures and the strange landscapes they populate are at least as important to our enjoyment of his novel as the story. So, who will enjoy this book? Well I did, and it won’t disappoint the Jack Vance fans and as for the rest, anyone who appreciates a galaxy spanning adventure written by one of Science Fiction’s premier stylists will love it.
