THE HAND THAT FEEDS

REVIEW (from Kimota #12)

During the second world wall a select force of six people battled on the side of the allies using their psychic powers. Now the war was over and the six are being picked off by a force which hides invisibly in shadows and attacks with a ferocity of a demo from the very furthest reaches of hell.

After two die the four remaining members devise a way to stop the terror. But this only draws it closer to them.

Peter Crowther and James Lovegrove set the story in 1940’s San Francisco, but as very little location description is given, it could be anywhere. But the story does not rely on location, and is also timeless. A story of the consequences of actions, and the results of biting the hand that feeds.

More of a short story than a novella, this well-written work is highly enjoyable and readable. It is perhaps a little overpriced at £5 but who knows it may be a collectors item one day.
