Lesser mortals would see the move into TV and Cinema as a progression, but Steve's work on the TV series BUGS, and his other screen writing, although well paid is seen only as a method of funding the more satisfying novel writing. The trouble with film and TV is that the author is only the start of the process and the eventual result is usually a committee effort. With a novel the whole is the author's and he stands or falls by it.

Game Over - story in Kimota #12

It only lasted one issue because everyone who bought it killed themselves so they couldn't buy the second issue. Stuart was annoyed as his copy got lost in the post. But at least he didn't have to commit suicide. There's always a silver lining if you look for it.
